Sails up, stern to mooring .. the trip from Mjlet to Korcula

An early start, after a fab fish platter (John dory, shrimps, octopus 🐙 all on the grill).

We managed to get the sails up and peaked at a top speed of 8.2 knots.  I was a little happier with 5-6 and not heeling over quite so far!!!  We played around with sail trimming and enjoying sailing ⛵️ for a while.

Decided to have a day off the boat and hired some bikes to explore the national park.  It is nothing short of stunning, we didn’t really see a lot of people and managed to find a secluded spot for some snorkelling.  So after a decent snooze we headed off to Korcula for a visit & another test of  Trev’s skills with stern to mooring in an actual marina!  It’s a busy little place and we had to wait in a queue to see whether they could fit us in.  With water, hot showers and an electric hook up it cost around £48 for the night.  Being able to stay until 2PM the next day meant we could have a decent night out, do a bit of exploring, get some shopping and still be on our way over to the other side of Mjlet for our final night.

There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.
