Big weather

It was supposed to be 15-20 knots of wind all day, I had nice ham for sandwiches, we’d average around 5-6 knots all day.

It didn’t work out like that

At one point we were having consistent 30-36 knots of wind hammering our poor Gianti & her new sails. With gusts of 40 knots and picking up speeds over ground of 11.2 knots it wasn’t funny any more and time to take down the sails and run for cover.

Que the spillage downstairs and a scared looking McIlwaine.

Let’s try different weather sites and see if anything improves tomorrow or the next day.

There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.
